§ 02 / SURFACE

Surface finishes

Mill finishRaw aluminum surface, slight oxide film. Indoor use, low cost. Rough appearance.
BrushedSatin directional finish. Architectural, cosmetic panels. Hides fingerprints.
Anodized (clear)Type II anodize, 8–25 μm thick. Corrosion-resistant, uniform silver appearance.
Anodized (colored)Type II with dye. Red, blue, black, gold — color limited by anodize chemistry.
Hard anodizeType III, 25–75 μm thick, darker gray-green. Wear-resistant for mechanical parts.
Powder coatAny RAL color. Masks surface irregularities. Good for painted enclosures.
